One of the challenges of having a child with celiac disease is how to handle the many birthday parties they are invited to. I have found that one of the best things to do is to make a batch of cupcakes and freeze them. That way, they are always ready when my daughter is invited to a birthday party or when we are headed to a friend’s house for dinner where dessert will be served. Now, the next problem is how to get the cupcake there without getting icing all over the place? One thing that makes this easier is the little container pictured above. It is called Cup-A-Cake. This little container goes to all of our birthday parties. They are reusable and are perfect for kids on a special diet. It is easily packed into a small lunch bag with any other food that needs to be taken. It’s just one of those things that makes life easier.
